Comment: Graphics are good. One problem - the spoken directions are a couple seconds behind the written and actual, so if you are looking at the road and listening for instructions, you could easily miss the turn. This was not an issue on the basic (and cheaper) Garmin I've been using for the last few years.

Comment: Got this for xmas '08. I love it. The real time animation is very realistic. This thing shows the speed limit of the street your on and how fast your going, it's within 1-2 MPH of my car's speedomiter. Sometimes when you first turn it on it takes about 30-45 sec to load the maps, but not always. With the text to voice it speaks the street names so you really don't have to look at the screen just listen to the directions. A few other web sites had it alittle cheaper then Amazon, but I ordered from Amazon because I trust Amazon and they had free shipping.

Comment: The Garmin nüvi 760 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Automobile Navigator is a great GPS with many features and an easy to read screen day or night. One nice feature is that it does not argue with you when you miss a turn, it just recalculates the route. I have many GPS units and this is far and away the best GPS I have every had.

Comment: The unit itself is amazing. However, the suction mounting mechanism broke after only using it 3 or 4 times. It is very cheaply made. Also, the fact that I had to print my own manual was cheap on Garmin's part - not "green" as the customer service person said! If they were only concerned about being "green", they could allow you to select whether or not you want the manual.

Summary: My second Garmin
Comment: The nuvi 760 works very well. From a cold start, it's navigating faster than my nuvi 660. Unlike the 660, it has an optional qwerty key layout but it doesn't hide useless letters as you type, like my 2008 Honda CR-V navigator does. It also doesn't have a "satelite map" mode like on the 660 when you press the signal strength, but this isn't a big deal. The 760 comes with a better windshield mount than the 660 and there is no retractable GPS antenna to deal with. The 760 doesn't come with a leather case like the 660 did, but the 760 is thinner and easier to carry in a shirt pocket. When you connect the 760 to your computer, you can send addresses or locations from Google maps directly to your nuvi favorites.
